At Blue Plate, we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment. We have created an internal task force to execute and increase eco-friendly organizational policies, including our day-to-day business practices, product/service offerings, and each event.
Sustainable Accomplishments
- Founding member of the Chicago Chapter of the Green Meeting Industry Council.
- Member of the Green Chicago Restaurant Co-op
- Participation in the Green Seal "life cycle" studies which propose the development of a new environmental set of standards on restaurants and other food service operations

- Offer a complete line of chic and eco-friendly disposable ware
- Suggest a range of creative and seamless eco-conscious event offerings
- Recycle all kitchen glass, plastic and aluminum
- Recycle all computers, electronics, paper and cardboard
- Utilize environmentally safe cleaning agents
Current Endeavors
- Progressing towards becoming a zero waste company through recycling, composting and innovation
- Reducing energy consumption in our facilities through staff practices, energy audits and constantly increasing the use of Energy Star equipment and appliances
- Offering a bar menu that exclusively features drinks that are organic or local
